Founded in 1982, Atelier du Chat Botté specializes in the creation of bespoke historical costumes, stage costumes, and handcrafted accessories.
Its story began in the world of live performance before expanding into civilian and military historical reenactment, museum projects, and heritage interpretation.
For more than forty years, the workshop has developed and preserved rare artisanal expertise, including historical research, period pattern drafting and tailoring for both men and women, garment construction, the adaptation of historical silhouettes and materials, passementerie, as well as craftsmanship in leather, metal, felt, and resin. This multidisciplinary expertise enables the workshop to produce complete period ensembles and authentic accessories that remain faithful to historical sources while meeting the practical requirements of theatre, exhibitions, and cultural interpretation.Every project is approached with the highest standards, from the initial research phase through to the finest finishing details.
