Le Béret Français

Founded in 2012, Le Béret Français, an artisan workshop, was created to perpetuate the historic craft of beret making in the Basque Country.

Based in Bayonne, it designs and manufactures 100% French-made berets from merino wool and local materials. Each piece is made using a traditional process requiring numerous steps and nearly a week of work. It combines artisanal techniques, technical innovation and responsible production to preserve an iconic part of French fashion heritage.

Through its collections and collaborations with major international events, Le Béret Français contributes to the influence of French expertise around the world while passing on the skills and techniques of traditional manufacturing.
