History of the workshops of the Manufacture of Forges: With 35 years of experience in the fields of Ironware, metalwork and locks, and after spending 17 years at the head of the company Metafer Cfer to complaintl ( 25 employees ) nationally recognized in the field of Art Metalwork, Lionel and Cécile Moretto passed the hand and sold the company in March 2022, in order to fully dedicate itself to the Fine Serrurerie / Ferronerie in their second workshop created in April 2019: Manufacture des Forges à Plaine Haute (6 employees ) .
Areas of activity and Knowledge Do:Lock and forge in Heritage Restoration and MH (Monuments) Background), this know-how for which we are recognized and qualified ( 4493 MH , only 12 national enterprises are the restoration of centenary works, or to return them when they have disappeared of our Heritage. In these achievements we must use the manufacturing techniques as well as assembly techniques used in the period of origin of the structure or the work of Art. Lock and forge, is the use of its know-how, but with metal forming techniques and tools and contemporary assemblages, while preserving the look of the Ancient styles. Lock and contemporary forge, requiring techniques for forming hot metals, but also for creative and design capabilities to produce works original and unique for our customers. These three main areas require the metal forming, technical knowledge of its metals (irons pure, steel, copper, brass .... ) , stamping , repulsing , casting , various Assemblages (mi fers , tenons and mortise , riveting , pinning , clasping ....) , quenching , dinandery ( copper-based metal repulsing and scissoring work)..... Well other techniques and know-how that require very long learning and its implementation over many years.
