Verrissima

Since 1992, Verrissima has been preserving and advancing the rare art of stained glass, an integral part of France's glassmaking heritage.

The Art Stained Glass division, founded by Jonathan Metz- a graduate of the CERFAV in Nancy and current CEO of the Group- embodies a vision in which the transmission of ancestral know-how is combined with continuous innovation in the service of an exceptional craft.

This commitment to excellence has been recognized with the First Prize for Crafts and Fine Arts of Moselle, a distinction that acknowledges the company's mastery and dedication. Each piece is custom-designed, drawing on full command of traditional stained-glass techniques.

The manual cutting of glass requires absolute rigor and millimetre-level precision. Artisans carefully select rare glass materials with unique textures and colour variations, giving each creation a distinctive identity.

Core Activities:

  • Decorative Glass for the Home: Design and manufacture of entrance door panels, interior doors, contemporary glazing, and glass partitions.
  • Bespoke Interior Fittings: Creation of kitchen backsplashes, shower walls and doors, mirrors, and glass furniture.
  • Stained Glass and Restoration: Creation and restoration of stained glass (traditional and Tiffany techniques), combining heritage and modernity.
  • Architecture and Exterior Solutions: Manufacture of glass railings, canopies, awnings, and floor slabs made of tempered or laminated glass.
  • Industrial Glass Transformation: Full mastery of shaping, sandblasting, silvering, tempering, bending, and screen printing techniques for the construction and industrial sectors.

    • Lead came glazing : a centuries-old method ensuring authenticity and long-term durability,
    • Tiffany technique : which uses copper foil soldered with tin, allowing for finer, more intricate compositions.

The workshop also has recognized expertise in the restoration of historic stained glass, carried out with the utmost respect for the integrity of heritage works.

Together, these skills create a dialogue between tradition and modernity, restoration and contemporary creation. Verrissima's works reflect a rare, demanding, and sustainable craftsmanship, fully exemplifying the excellence of French know-how recognized by the Living Heritage Company (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) label.
